I, Gregory Beach, am pleased to accept the nomination for the position of President on the 2027-2028 United States of America Coton de Tulear Club Board, and will serve if elected.
What is your experience working with a nonprofit or volunteer organization, if any? I have 40 years experience working with multiple and a diverse groups of nonprofit and volunteer organizations, serving in multiple positions, including President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Past President, Director, Representative, Executive Director and Newsletter Editor.
Have you familiarized yourself with the responsibilities of the position and our club Constitution, Bylaws and Member Code of Ethics? As current Club President, as well as Chair of our Bylaws Policy and Procedure Committee, I am extensively familiar with the responsibilities of all Club Officers, and our Constitution, Bylaws and Member Code of Ethics. Additionally, I Chaired the committee for our last successful revision of the Club Bylaws.

What is your experience working with a nonprofit or volunteer organization, if any? I have many years experience with both, and have served in multiple board positions in both the USACTC, my All Breed dog club (Lancaster Kennel Club), and the Pennsylvania Federation of Dog Clubs.
Have you familiarized yourself with the responsibilities of the position and our club Constitution, Bylaws and Member Code of Ethics? I am current club Vice-President and understand the responsibilities of the position well. I am very familiar with our Constitution, Bylaws and Member Code of Ethics.

What is your experience working with a nonprofit or volunteer organization, if any? In the past I was vice-president for the girls junior soccer club in Iceland, with approximately 200 girls participating. Part of my job was to organize trips for them over to Spain, as well as to other European countries, including helping to obtain funding. I have also served in volunteer positions when I was in the university, and for a handball club when my children were younger. In more recent years, here in the USA, I have been involved in the Icelandic association and the Scandinavian association, and was a board member for both.
Have you familiarized yourself with the responsibilities of the position and our club Constitution, Bylaws and Member Code of Ethics? Yes, I have read these documents, and will review them again.

I, Sharon Hunkins, accept the nomination for the position of Membership Secretary on the 2027-2028 United States of America Coton de Tulear Club of America.
What is your experience working with a nonprofit or volunteer organization, if any? My work experience with a nonprofit or volunteer organization includes volunteering for various duties to promote and plan AKC conformation shows for all breed clubs and Bichon Specialty shows and various organizational tasks over the last 21 years.
No person may be a candidate in a Club election who has not been nominated in accordance with the club bylaws, Article V, Section 4. Additional nominations of eligible members may be made by written petition addressed to the Recording Secretary and postmarked by 5 weeks prior to the Annual Meeting, accompanied by the written acceptance of each such additional nominee signifying his or her willingness to be a candidate. These nominees must submit the same information and respond to the same questions as provided by the Board for each candidate.
